We are a growing bakery committed to producing high-quality baked goods and maintaining a supportive, team-focused work environment. As demand for our products continues to grow, we're looking for a reliable and motivated Bakery Prep Assistant to support our production team.

Position Overview

The Bakery Prep Assistant plays a key role in bakery operations by preparing ingredients, organizing workspaces, and assisting bakers with daily production tasks. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced work, consistency, and contributing to a team that produces delicious, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, scale, and prepare ingredients for daily baking production
  • Assist bakers in dough preparation, shaping, and general baking tasks
  • Organize and maintain prep areas, tools, and storage spaces
  • Rotate and store ingredients following food safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the production area
  • Follow recipes, instructions, and safety/quality protocols
  • Assist with packaging or other production tasks when needed
  • Communicate with bakers regarding ingredient levels, shortages, or issues

Qualifications

  • Previous bakery experience is an asset
  • Ability to work early mornings or flexible shifts as needed
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and perform physical tasks
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
