About the Role:
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated junior to mid-level Data Engineer with experience in health data, reporting and analytics, and Azure cloud technologies. This role will work collaboratively within a small, distributed team to address complex challenges in the healthcare sector. The candidate will be actively involved in the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of backend data pipelines as well as client-facing analytics solutions.
What You'll be Doing:
- Design, construct, test, and maintain highly scalable data management and analytic systems.
- Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
- Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts
- Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.
- Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures.
- Create custom software components and analytics applications.
- Employ a variety of languages and tools to marry systems together.
- Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Collaborate with data and enterprise architects, software engineers, and IT team members on project goals.
Requirements:
- Business Intelligence certificate, Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent education and/or work experience
- 1-2 of relevant experience in data engineering
- Proficiency with Power BI development
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with Azure cloud services
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools
- Experience with data analysis
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Data Lakes
- Experience with Git
- Ability to work productively from home
- Background check required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Microsoft Fabric
- Knowledge of healthcare and life sciences industry challenges
- Experience with health data, reporting and analytics
