Sure Square Contracting is actively seeking Carpenters and Carpenter Apprentices.

We are looking for applicants with experience in residential and commercial construction. Candidates must have a reliable vehicle, as job sites vary across the city and are not always accessible by public transit. Safety footwear and basic hand tools are required.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • General labour on construction sites and maintaining clean, organized work areas
  • Concrete formwork, including footings, walls, slab preparation, and suspended slab formwork
  • Framing, including joist installation, truss layout, and sheathing of walls and floors
  • Installing exterior cladding such as Hardie plank or vinyl siding
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Working around and with heavy equipment such as excavators and skid steers
  • Taking direction from lead hands/forepersons
  • Working safely and efficiently with or without direct supervision
  • Maintaining punctuality and reliability

Compensation: $23–$38 per hour, depending on skill level and trade qualifications.

Sure Square Contracting is a licensed residential builder specializing in custom and spec homes, commercial projects, carriage suites, large shops/outbuildings, and full interior renovations throughout Kamloops and occasionally surrounding areas. We offer competitive wages and year-round employment.
