Our client, a well-established company based in Concord, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payment processing: Accurately process and record daily incoming payments.
  • Account reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Invoice preparation: Prepare and send invoices to clients in accordance with agreed terms.
  • Outstanding balances management: Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely payments.
  • Month-end and year-end support: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • ERP system management: Maintain accurate records in the company's ERP system (experience with Prophet 21/P21 is a strong asset).
  • Cross-department collaboration: Work closely with other departments to resolve billing issues and provide customer support as needed.
  • Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on account aging and collections to management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
