Intermediate Accountant (Full-Time, Permanent) Location: Edmonton Corporate OfficeThe Running Room Group of Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Intermediate Accountant to join our in-office Accounting and Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who has built a solid foundation in accounting and is ready to take ownership of more complex tasks in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.  You'll work closely with other accounting team members and cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business operations.This job is 100% worked in-office (no work from home or hybrid work). Join us and experience the difference—because running isn't just an activity, it's a lifestyle.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze general ledger accounts including balance sheets, income statements, and account reconciliations.Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial reporting.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and working papers for external accountants.Ensure compliance with Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in financial data.Contribute to financial analysis including variance analysis.Collaborate with team members and operational departments to resolve accounting-related issues.Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and support operational efficiency.Other related duties as required.Skills and QualificationsDemonstrated proficiency in full-cycle accounting, with increasing levels of responsibility over time.Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar accounting software is an asset.Willingness to work evenings or weekends as required by deadlines.CompensationRunning Room offers competitive wages with a comprehensive benefits package and employee discount program.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.How to ApplyAre you ready to shed the suit and tie and come to work in shorts and running shoes?  Click on Apply Now and include cover letter, resume, and salary expectations.  Incomplete applications may not be considered.  Only those who are selected for an interview will be contacted.Running Room welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.  Upon request, Running Room will provide accommodations from candidates taking part in the selection process
