Power Link is a Burlington-based transportation & logistics company with two divisions: Same Day Courier, and Freight. We are looking for a new staff member to join our Courier division. This is an opportunity to join a growing company with significant expansion plans.

Position available: COURIER DISPATCHER / CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Location: Burlington

Description:

The Courier Dispatcher/CSR position entails assigning delivery orders to the most appropriate drivers throughout the day. The Dispatcher/CSR ensures shipments are completed in the most efficient manner possible by overseeing pickup and delivery requests, providing information, and supervising deliveries to meet customer needs. They ensure accurately when entering customer orders and other information into the computer system in a timely manner. They also provide prompt, precise, and knowledgeable information to Power Link customers, drivers, and company staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Plan and assign pick-up and delivery orders to drivers

· Help answer customer calls & emails

· Enter customer orders into the system

· Ensure delivery commitments are achieved

· Liaise with customers regarding deliveries, service, etc.

· Follow up on any delivery delays

Skills Required:

· Ability to plan, dispatch, and monitor orders for our drivers

· Excellent knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area geography

· Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

· Passion for providing best-in-class customer service

· Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task

· Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

· Effective computer skills

Considerable Assets:

· Previous courier or other related transportation industry experience

· Courier Complete/Fleet Complete system experience

· Customer service experience

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $50,000 to $70,000 (salary & annual bonus) a year, depending on experience

Start date: Immediately

Experience: Courier, expedited, or other transportation industry dispatcher experience is preferred

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
