About Alquemy
Alquemy is one of Canada's most respected staffing firms, specializing in connecting exceptional talent with leading organizations. We work with some of the country's most recognized names in Utilities, Engineering, IT, and Construction. In Construction recruitment specifically, our team is led by one of the most successful and respected leaders in the industry, giving you access to unmatched mentorship and market insight.
We are small enough to be agile, entrepreneurial, and responsive — but large enough to deliver on major national accounts. We hire only the top industry performers, and we invest heavily in our people's development and success.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven, early-career recruiter or account manager with up to 5 years of experience running a full desk in the commercial or civil construction industry.
- In Ontario or BC, your focus could be Commercial or Civil Construction.
- In Alberta, your focus will be Civil Construction only.
- This is an opportunity for someone who is ready to step into a role with greater autonomy, stronger earning potential, and the ability to learn directly from the best in the business.
If you're looking for a change, here are some of the differentiators Alquemy can provide:
- Stable and Supportive Environment – Join a well-established company with strong client relationships and consistent growth.
- Performance-Driven Compensation – Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission designed to reward results.
- Work-From-Home Flexibility – 100% remote role or hybrid combined with in-office collaboration when it adds value.
- Flexibility and Autonomy – Trust to manage your own desk, clients, and schedule without micromanagement. Options for 100% remote or a hybrid role based on location.
- Mentorship from the Best – Learn directly from the industry's top-performing leaders in construction recruitment.
- Entrepreneurial Culture – Your ideas are heard and acted on, and you have a real say in how you run your desk.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment lifecycle for construction roles, including:
- Business Development: Building and maintaining relationships with construction industry clients in your region.
- Recruitment: Sourcing, screening, and presenting qualified candidates for skilled and leadership roles in Commercial and/or Civil Construction.
- Account Management: Managing client accounts end-to-end, ensuring exceptional service delivery and repeat business.
- Market Insight: Tracking industry trends, upcoming projects, and talent availability to stay ahead of the competition.
- Collaboration: Working closely with Alquemy's national construction team and leadership to leverage shared resources and market intelligence.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Up to 5 years of running a full desk in Commercial or Civil Construction recruitment.
- Location: Based in Ontario, BC, or Alberta (civil only).
- Mindset: Hungry, driven, and eager to learn from top industry leaders.
- Skills: Strong relationship-building, business development, and negotiation abilities.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated with a sense of ownership over results.
- Adaptability: Able to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
What We Offer
At Alquemy, you'll get:
- Mentorship from the Industry's Best: Learn directly from our Managing Partner of Construction Services, one of Canada's top performers in construction recruitment.
- Uncapped Earning Potential: Competitive base salary plus industry leading commission structure.
- Flexibility: Hybrid work environment with autonomy to manage your own desk.
- Stability: A well-established, growth-oriented firm with long-term client relationships.
- Career Growth: Opportunities to grow into senior account management, leadership, or national account roles.
