Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
  • Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations, cancellations, and billing information
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and filing
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest needs promptly
  • Uphold hotel policies and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Support guest services by offering assistance with luggage, transportation arrangements, or special requests

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in front desk operations or hospitality is preferred but not required, willing to train the right candidate
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse guests effectively
  • Familiarity with front desk software, phone systems, and basic administrative tasks is a plus
  • Prior hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude essential for representing the hotel brand effectively
  • Light Housekeeping and Laundry Duties required
  • Ability to cross-train in HK room cleaning and laundry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85-$20.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cranbrook, BC V1C 1A6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
