Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (M1) to join our growing team specializing in general aviation aircraft. The ideal candidate combines strong technical proficiency with a commitment to safety, precision, and craftsmanship. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of aircraft systems, contribute directly to the reliability and performance of our clients' aircraft, and play an integral role in the continued growth of our Transport Canada certified AMO.

As part of a small, dynamic team, you'll have the independence to work hands-on and the opportunity to help shape the organization's future — including potential partnership and leadership opportunities as we expand.

Duties

  • Perform assembly and disassembly of aircraft parts utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools.
  • Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting on aerospace hardware, including avionics and electrical systems.
  • Oversee heavy lifting operations safely during assembly or maintenance tasks.
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to improve existing systems and develop new solutions for aerospace applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects involving manufacturing, repair, and system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations throughout all phases of work.

Qualifications

  • Valid Transport Canada AME Licence (M1)
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Strong technical proficiency across general aviation aircraft systems
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and safety-focused

Experience

  • Experience in environments related to aerospace or mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems, avionics, and schematics interpretation.
  • Background in assembly, maintenance, or mechanic roles within aerospace or heavy machinery sectors.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order management and maintenance tracking.
  • Knowledge of schematics reading and electrical wiring diagrams essential for system troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

  • Assembler et démonter des pièces d'aéronefs à l'aide d'outils manuels, d'outils électriques, d'équipements de soudage et d'autres outils mécaniques.
  • Effectuer la maintenance et le dépannage du matériel aérospatial, y compris les systèmes avioniques et électriques.
  • Superviser en toute sécurité les opérations de levage lourd lors des tâches d'assemblage ou de maintenance.
  • Appliquer ses connaissances en mécanique pour améliorer les systèmes existants et développer de nouvelles solutions pour les applications aérospatiales.
  • Collaborer avec des équipes interfonctionnelles sur des projets de fabrication, de réparation et de mise à niveau de systèmes.
  • Assurer la conformité aux normes de sécurité et aux réglementations de l'industrie à toutes les étapes du travail.

Qualifications

  • Licence AME (M1) valide de Transports Canada
  • Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et sans supervision
  • Solides compétences techniques sur les systèmes d'aéronefs d'aviation générale
  • Souci du détail, organisation et rigueur en matière de sécurité
  • Expérience
  • Expérience dans des environnements liés à l'aérospatiale ou aux systèmes mécaniques.
  • Expérience pratique des systèmes électriques, de l'avionique et de l'interprétation de schémas.
  • Expérience en assemblage, maintenance ou mécanique dans les secteurs de l'aérospatiale ou des machines lourdes.
  • Connaissance des systèmes CMMS pour la gestion des bons de travail et le suivi de la maintenance.
  • Connaissance de la lecture de schémas et de diagrammes de câblage électrique essentielle pour le dépannage des systèmes.
  • Une expérience préalable des techniques de levage lourd et des protocoles de sécurité en milieu industriel est un atout.
