Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Host/Busser to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our dining area remains clean and welcoming for guests, while supporting the waitstaff in delivering exceptional customer service. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in the hospitality industry and are eager to contribute to a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist servers by promptly clearing and resetting tables after guests leave.
  • Greet and Seat Guests: Provide a warm, welcoming first impression by greeting guests as they arrive and promptly seating them according to the restaurant's seating plan.
  • Manage Reservations and Waitlists: Handle reservations, maintain accurate waitlists, and communicate table availability to ensure smooth dining operations.
  • Maintain a Clean Front-of-House Area: Keep the entrance, reception, and waiting areas tidy and organized to create an inviting atmosphere.
  • Coordinate with Staff: Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and management to optimize guest flow and satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including floors, tables, and service stations.
  • Refill water glasses and assist with serving bread or other items as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Help stock supplies and ensure that all necessary items are readily available for the waitstaff.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling food and cleaning materials.
  • Provide excellent guest services by responding to requests in a timely manner.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, as well as knowledge of hospitality standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic team setting is essential.
