Position Summary

Our growing firm is looking to add a key member to our team. As an Accountant you will be responsible for all aspects of the engagement, from planning to completion.

Role and Responsibilities

· Conduct compilation, review, audit, and tax engagements

· Prepare financial statements and corresponding notes

· Compute taxes owed and prepare personal and corporate tax returns

· Prepare other compliance filings (T3, T4, T5, T5013, T5018, GST, etc.)

· Liaise with Canada Revenue Agency

· Develop and maintain trusted client relationships including responding to client questions and inquiries

· Contribute to development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes

Skills & Qualifications

· 3+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting

· Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) and Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO)

· Dedication to proactive thinking, integrity, precision execution and providing value-focused service

· Experience with accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, TaxCycle, Sage and QuickBooks considered an asset

· Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation considered an asset
