Join our Applied Solutions team as a Well Technician (Class 3) / Part‑Time O&M Technician, where field expertise and technical precision directly support environmental protection, groundwater management, and treatment system performance across project sites in the GTA.

This role blends hands‑on well operations, environmental drilling support, and O&M activities that help safeguard water quality, advance remediation programs, and strengthen community resilience.

Your Impact

  • Apply established work instructions, H&S protocols, and quality‑control procedures to ensure safe, consistent field operations.
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain groundwater wells, pumping systems, and treatment units to keep systems running reliably.
  • Support drilling activities for environmental and geotechnical investigations, including soil, groundwater, and rock sampling.
  • Install, develop, and maintain monitoring wells and piezometers in alignment with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine sampling programs for raw and treated water; prepare accurate field forms, data sheets, and monitoring logs.
  • Perform mechanical, plumbing, and instrumentation tasks related to treatment system operation, calibration, and optimization.
  • Participate in system installations and fabrication activities, including assembly of mobile treatment units when required.
  • Troubleshoot equipment or system issues in the field to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
  • Oversee subcontractors when work includes drilling, fabrication, or O&M activities, ensuring alignment with project expectations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for optimizing processes, enhancing safety, and reducing lifecycle costs.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Class 3 Well Technician License with hands‑on experience in well operation, groundwater systems, or drilling activities.
  • 3–7 years of experience in environmental, geotechnical, water treatment, or O&M‑related field work.
  • Practical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electromechanical systems; interest in automation is an asset.
  • Experience conducting sampling, logging, drilling‑related fieldwork, or operating treatment and monitoring systems.
  • Ability to operate and maintain field equipment, including pumps, instrumentation, drilling‑related tools, or monitoring devices.
  • Valid AZ or DZ driver's license, enabling travel across the GTA to diverse client and project locations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations related to environmental fieldwork, groundwater protection, and safe drilling practices.
  • Comfort working in outdoor conditions and dynamic field environments where adaptability and sound judgment matter.
  • Basic digital proficiency (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) to complete documentation and collaborate with project teams.
