Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Cashier and Line Cook to join our dynamic team. This dual-role position is essential for ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food service, strong culinary skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Experience in both cash handling and kitchen operations is highly desirable.

Duties

As a Cashier and Line Cook, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating the cash register efficiently while providing friendly service to customers.
  • Taking customer orders accurately and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Preparing meals according to menu specifications, focusing on quality and presentation.
  • Assisting with menu planning and food preparation, ensuring all dietary requirements are met.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining area in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Handling food safely and adhering to proper food handling procedures.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
  • Utilizing knife skills effectively for meal preparation and cooking tasks.
  • Supporting catering services as needed, including setup and breakdown of events.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
  • Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant environments, showcasing culinary expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Experience in meal preparation, menu planning, and catering services is advantageous.

Hours

I am looking for someone who can come in to work during the rush for Friday and Saturday Lunch. The shift is 11:30 - 3:30 and Sunday's i require someone in the afternoon. Sometimes there may be evening shifts available thursday Friday and Saturday.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
