Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring food safety and delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Duties

  • Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored correctly to prevent contamination.
  • Support the team in various food service tasks, including plating dishes and preparing garnishes.
  • Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food handling and preparation.

Skills

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration and support for fellow team members.
  • Basic cooking skills with an eagerness to learn more about the culinary arts.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
