The London District Catholic School Board invites applications for the position of
Speech-Language Pathologist,*
reporting to the Senior Administrator of Professional Services. The successful candidate will provide programming and consultative services to area schools, school based teams, parents and students and to function as a system member of the Program Department Team. The hours of work will be determined by the Supervisor in consultation with the successful candidate.
Qualifications And Skills Required
- Master's degree of Clinical Science (Speech-Language Pathology) or equivalent
- Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
- Proven ability to work successfully in partnership with students, school and system staff
- Experience working in an inclusive school setting and with a wide range of exceptionalities
- Knowledge of current research in assessment and intervention methods
- Ability to work within a Problem-Solving Framework
- Possess an understanding and appreciation of the mission of a Catholic school system
- Ability to provide professional development opportunities for staff
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed in a complex work environment
- Ability to quickly establish effective interpersonal relationships
