People Finders Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a well-established organization in Mississauga (Explorer Drive and Eglinton Avenue area). Reporting directly to the President, this role offers high visibility and the opportunity to partner closely with leadership while remaining hands-on across the full HR function. This opportunity is well suited to an entrepreneurial HR professional who brings sound judgment, strong employee relations expertise, and the ability to align HR practices with business objectives.
Mississauga, ON | Hybrid (Mandatory: 4 Days onsite)
Full-Time | Immediate Start
Salary: $80,000–$90,000
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
- Support recruitment activities and prepare employment offers in line with fair and compliant hiring practices
- Manage onboarding documentation, orientations, and HRIS setup
- Partner with hiring managers and new employees to ensure effective integration
Employee Relations and Engagement
- Serve as the subject matter expert on company policies, procedures, and HR programs
- Provide guidance and coaching to employees and managers on performance management and workplace matters
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including annual performance reviews and surveys
- Escalate complex employee relations matters as required, ensuring compliance with legislation
Compensation and Benefits
- Support benefits enrollment and respond to employee inquiries
- Assist with annual salary reviews, bonus administration, and benefits programs
- Maintain and support competitive compensation and benefits offerings
Compliance, Health and Safety
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and documentation remain compliant
- Track and coordinate required training and compliance activities
- Lead Workplace Health and Safety initiatives and oversee WSIB claims
- Support Ministry of Labour inquiries and related compliance matters
Performance Management and Offboarding
- Coach leaders on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and employee performance issues
- Prepare termination documentation and conduct termination meetings as required
- Coordinate final pay, benefits cessation, and system access removal
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends
HR Operations and Projects
- Partner with departments to support HR strategies aligned with business goals
- Maintain accurate employee records and oversee digitization initiatives
- Support job description updates, HR reporting, and special projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
• Experience dealing with Unions and Collective Bargaining agreements strongly preferred.
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, or other related discipline
• Strong understanding of employment legislation is required
• Professional HR certification
• Strong English verbal and written skills are required
• Strong organizational skills are required
• Proficiency in office skills such as, typing, filing organization, and research are required
• Proficiency in the use of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), human resources information systems (e.g. Humanity) and internet-based programs.
