Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop hospitality skills within a fast-paced food service environment, utilizing your experience in customer service, food handling, and restaurant operations. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS, ensuring timely entry and communication with kitchen staff
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and cash handling responsibilities
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed during food preparation, serving, and cleanup
  • Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards
  • Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
  • Provide guest services that foster a positive dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred; restaurant experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
  • Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and handling cash transactions accurately
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation standards in the food industry
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking across various duties
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed; availability for shifts that may include serving during peak hours
