Toronto, Ontario, Canada OBSI - Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments Full time

BILINGUAL CASE ASSESSMENT OFFICER

Are you a customer service professional looking for the next step in your career? Are you interested in public service and contributing to financial fairness and justice?

Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI) is an organization of highly skilled professionals inspired by a public service mission. OBSI makes a difference in people's lives every day and helps to ensure a fair, effective and trusted financial system for everyone.
We are hiring for an existing vacancy for Bilingual English and French Case Assessment Officers to join our team.

Bilingual Case Assessment Officers are the first point of contact for consumers and an important resource for firms. They answer consumer and firm inquiries, assess cases, determine if they are within OBSI's mandate, and prepare them for assignment to investigators.

Your prior customer service experience will be helpful as you address consumer concerns via phone or email, providing additional information and, at times, referring to alternate dispute resolution organizations. Where the consumer complaint falls within OBSI's mandate, you will collect documents from consumers and firms to prepare a comprehensive file for further investigation and resolution. Bilingualism in French and English is required, and prior experience within the financial services sector will be an asset.

OBSI provides a workplace that values and respects people from diverse backgrounds, talents and experiences which makes OBSI success possible. Candidates residing in the greater Toronto area will be considered and flexible work arrangements are possible.

OBSI offers a competitive total rewards package including strong base pay, variable incentive programs, comprehensive group benefits program and a company contributed pension program.

OBSI invests in employees by offering career progression and opportunities for learning and development.

Become a part of a world class ombudsman organization that all Canadians can be proud of.

OBSI strives to provide equal opportunity to qualified individuals with all abilities and, as such, we are committed to offering reasonable accommodation during the hiring process. If you require special assistance or accommodation, please contact Human Resources at
