An opportunity to play your part At the heart of Centrica Technology , the Strategic Reporting Manager plays a pivotal role within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This senior position is all about turning complex performance data into compelling, actionable insights for the CTO, CEO, CLT, and Board. It's not just about numbers—it's about shaping the story behind them. You'll be the go-to expert for creating a single, trusted view of Centrica Technology performance, drawing from across CIO domains, Finance, HR, and Risk. Your work will help steer executive decision-making and governance with clarity and confidence.
Location: UK-based hybrid role, typically requiring 1 to 2 days in the office per month, or as needed.
The Day to Day:
- Create dashboards, scorecards, and Board papers that are accurate, timely, and tailored to the needs of senior leaders. Your reporting will be trusted, insightful, and aligned with governance timelines.
- Design and maintain a unified reporting structure that consolidates inputs across all CIO domains. Standardise templates and processes to ensure consistency and clarity across the technology landscape.
- Translate complex data into clear narratives that highlight performance trends, risks, and opportunities. Your insights will guide executive decisions and shape strategic priorities.
- Respond to urgent requests with fast, evidence-based analysis from scenario modelling to sensitivity testing helping leaders make confident, informed choices.
- Promote best practices in data quality and reporting, simplify processes, and coach teams across Centrica Technology to elevate their storytelling and analytical capabilities.
- Ensure reporting clearly connects technology performance with transformation goals and strategic objectives, reinforcing Centrica Technology role in delivering value across Centrica.
What we need from you:
- Demonstrated expertise in executive-level reporting, with the ability to distill complex data and concepts into clear, insightful narratives tailored for senior stakeholders including the CEO, Executive Committee, and Board.
- Comfortable operating in high-stakes environments, with the agility to adapt reporting outputs quickly in response to evolving business needs or urgent requests from senior leadership.
- Proven track record of integrating reporting across multiple domains and functions, creating a unified and coherent enterprise-wide view that supports strategic decision-making.
- Extensive experience in reporting, analytics, or performance management within large, complex organisations, ideally with exposure to technology or transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of technology performance metrics, financial levers, and operational data sources—including cost, workforce, risk, and delivery enabling meaningful analysis and recommendations.
- Skilled in synthesising information from federated delivery teams, Finance, HR, and Risk into structured reporting frameworks that align with business priorities and governance requirements.
