Our client, a top Insurance client in Canada is looking to hire a
Fund Accountant
and
Manager, Fund Accounting
role for their team. This role is Hybrid for their
Toronto
office.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for
next-day oversight of NAVs
outsourced to external agents, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Investigate, resolve, or escalate any breaks identified in oversight tools within 24 hours of NAV publication. Maintain
audit-ready records
and apply sound judgment to assess the materiality of issues, determining the right level of investigation required. Proactively manage priorities, mitigate risks, and follow up on pending inquiries to ensure timely resolution.
Must-Have Skills:
Bachelor's degree in
Finance or Accounting
with
experience
in the investment industry. Strong knowledge of
fund accounting, investment administration, securities, settlements, FX, and reconciliations
. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
and other financial systems is essential.
Bilingualism (French and English)
is required for Montreal-based candidates.
Nice-to-Have:
Professional designations such as
CPA, CGA, CMA, CA, or CFA (candidate)
are an asset.
Soft Skills:
Strong
analytical, problem-solving, and communication
abilities, with high attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrates
