Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain network. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting shipping, receiving, and supply chain functions.

Duties

  • Schedule and dispatch freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as SyteLine and AS400.
  • Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
  • Monitor shipment statuses, update tracking information, and communicate delays or issues promptly.
  • Manage shipping & receiving documentation accurately through data entry and analysis skills.
  • Utilize multi-line phone systems and maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Perform analysis of freight data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Oversee shipping & receiving operations to ensure compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, freight movements, and related documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with transportation management systems such as SyteLine, AS400, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight operations, and 3PL services.
  • Proficiency in data entry, typing skills, and managing multi-line phone systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette.
  • Analytical skills to interpret shipping data and optimize dispatch processes.
  • Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. This position is integral to maintaining seamless transportation operations within our organization, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective dispatch management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.75-$30.71 per hour
