Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Control Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the effective flow of warehouse and shipping operations by coordinating loading activities, delivery schedules, and material movements. This role requires proficiency with ERP systems, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure efficient materials management and order fulfillment. The Inventory Control Associate plays a critical role in maintaining seamless operations within our shipping, receiving and inventory operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods to support the production schedule.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including paperwork, tracking information, and data entry in AX.
- Ensure all materials and finished goods are scanned and recorded correctly in the warehouse systems (AX, SF) to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability.
- Support daily coordination of warehouse tasks such as material movements, order preparation, traffic scheduling, and load readiness.
- Communicate with internal departments to ensure orders, deliveries, and material needs are understood and executed on time.
- Receive and process incoming shipments at the dock, ensuring materials are stored in the correct designated areas following SOPs.
- Assist with monitoring inventory levels, organizing warehouse space effectively, and reporting on inventory accuracy.
- Help keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with established cleaning protocols.
- Use standard business software (Microsoft Office) and warehouse systems to process transactions and manage information.
- Provide input on process improvements and help support their implementation when needed.
- Perform general warehouse duties as required to support overall operations.
Skills
- 3-5 years previous experience in a Shipping/Receiving environment
- Post-Secondary education in one of the following: Supply Chain & Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Business Administration, Materials Management, or Transportation & Distribution
- Strong computer and data‑entry skills
- Experience using AX or similar ERP/WMS systems
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of freight documentation (BOLs, packing slips, customs/transport docs)
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, RF scanners)
- Understanding of cycle counts and inventory reconciliation processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision with a team‑oriented mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Dependability and a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast‑paced environment
