Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for innovative menu creation. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, managing staff, and maintaining high-quality food production in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in shaping the culinary vision and ensuring the smooth functioning of all food service activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, to ensure efficient operations and high standards of food quality
  • Oversee menu planning, development, and execution with a focus on fine dining, catering, and banquet services
  • Manage inventory control, food procurement, and cost management to optimize resources and reduce waste
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas
  • Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff rotations and overseeing daily operational tasks
  • Supervise food preparation processes to ensure consistency, presentation excellence, and adherence to dietary requirements
  • Oversee catering events and special functions, providing leadership in menu customization and service delivery
  • Train and mentor staff to enhance culinary skills, teamwork, and professional growth
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless food service operations
  • Maintain excellent communication with suppliers and vendors for timely procurement of ingredients

Experience

  • Proven banquet experience with a strong background in large-scale event catering
  • Supervising experience within busy restaurant or hospitality settings
  • Extensive culinary experience with a focus on fine dining cuisine
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing kitchen teams and overseeing food production processes
  • Experience in dietary department management and food safety compliance
  • Strong background in inventory management, cost control, and kitchen operations management
  • Hands-on expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management
  • Familiarity with restaurant management systems and hospitality industry standards
  • Previous roles involving food service management, catering coordination, or restaurant leadership are highly desirable
