About Us

Enzo Design Build Inc. is a full-service design-build firm specializing in high-quality residential renovations across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. We are expanding our team and looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Architectural Technologist to support our design and construction teams with drawings, documentation, coordination, and trade interactions.

Position Overview

The Architectural Technologist will play a crucial role in the production of drawings, preparation of permit and construction documentation, obtaining trade quotes, and coordinating site visits. You will work closely with our designers, project managers, and site supervisors to ensure smooth project execution from concept to construction.

This role requires excellent communication, strong technical ability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative, fully in-office environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesDrawing Production & Design Support

  • Develop and prepare design sketches, technical drawings, and detailed documentation.
  • Produce complete drawing packages for strata submissions, city permit applications, and construction sets.
  • Create and update shop drawings, millwork drawings, and detailing as required.
  • Assist with 3D modeling and basic visualization (SketchUp, Rayon).
  • Review all drawings for accuracy, constructability, code compliance, and consultant coordination.
  • Assist the design team with building code analysis and documentation.
  • Support product/material research for interior finishes, fixtures, and systems.

Trade Coordination & Procurement

  • Obtain quotes from trades and suppliers by sending drawings, scopes of work, and RFQs.
  • Schedule trade site visits, walkthroughs, and measurements.
  • Follow up with trades to ensure all quotes are submitted on time.
  • Gather, compare, and organize pricing for project budgeting.

Project Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Assist with setting up and maintaining project documentation across all phases.
  • Support site supervisors and project managers with coordination tasks.
  • Schedule material deliveries, inspections, and supplier appointments.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Attend client, consultant, and internal meetings as required.

Teamwork & Professionalism

  • Work collaboratively in a 100% in-office environment to support cross-functional coordination.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to improving internal systems, best practices, and workflows.
  • Follow all company health & safety policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and excellent communication skills.

QualificationsEducation & Experience

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology, Interior Design Technology, or related program from a recognized institution.
  • 0–5 years of experience preparing construction documents, permit drawings, or architectural drafting.
  • Experience in residential design or renovation is an asset.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SketchUp, Rayon, AutoCAD (optional but beneficial), and JobTread.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, detailing, and building code basics.
  • Ability to prepare technical specifications, shop drawings, and detailed drafting.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and handle competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and in a collaborative environment.
