Shop Hand – Highmark Downhole Technologies (Leduc, AB)

Highmark Downhole Technologies is an Alberta-based company specializing in the design, assembly, and testing of custom downhole tools. We take pride in our fast turnaround, precision work.

Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable Shop Hand who's eager to learn, takes initiative, and can think on their feet. This is a hands-on position where you'll be expected to problem-solve and stay organized.

Key Responsibilities

·       Assemble / disassemble tools

·       Pressure test

·       Learn to troubleshoot issues and find practical solutions with minimal supervision

·       Keep shop and work areas organized and safe

·       Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and basic hand tools (training provided if needed)

·       Prepare, label, and package tools for shipping

·       Pick up and deliver parts or materials as needed

Qualifications

·       Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in oilfield or tool work

·       Able to work independently and stay productive without constant direction

·       Positive attitude and willingness to learn

·       Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation (clean drivers abstract preferred)

·       Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

·       Previous experience in mechanical, oilfield, or manufacturing work an asset

What We Offer

·       Hours based on workload (typically full-time; may vary with product demand)

·       Competitive hourly wage based on experience $23-$28/hr.

·       Hands-on training
