The successful candidate will be suited working independently and as part of a larger team to repair and modify heavy haul trailers. They will have a keen eye for detail, perform work to the pinnacle quality of industry standards, complete jobs on time and on target, and minimize wastes in day-to-day operations.Primary ResponsibilitiesAbility to use welding and fabrication tools.Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams, fit and assemble accordingly.Troubleshooting and estimating welding repairs.Capable of FCAW, MCAW, SMAW. CWB certifications an asset but not necessary.Gouging, plasma cutting, lancing and crack repair.Quality assurance and control.Ensures effective equipment maintenance, safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.Build and maintain a healthy and safe work environment.Overhead crane operation.Must be able to work in awkward positions.
