We are looking for a welder apprentices that can do metal core flat and horizontal GMAW.We do not accept applications from out of country. Please do not apply if you are not currently local to the Edmonton / Leduc, AB area and legally entitled to work in Canada.Aspen is looking for new team members to add to our growing workforce. We continue to grow and have many openings. Apprentices wanting to become Welder / Fitters are welcome to apply. Large clean indoor shop with safe work practices. Be a part of a great team of long service employees. Just last year we celebrated 3-30 year anniversaries, 1-25 year, 3-15 year, 9-10 year and 9 5-year anniversaries. We have been in business for 45 years and have continued to grow each year. The successful candidate will be suited working independently and as part of a larger team to repair and modify heavy haul trailers. They will have a keen eye for detail, perform work to the pinnacle quality of industry standards, complete jobs on time and on target, and minimize wastes in day-to-day operations.Primary ResponsibilitiesAbility to use welding and fabrication tools.Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams, fit and assemble accordingly.Capable of FCAW, MCAW, SMAW. CWB certifications an asset but not necessary.Gouging, plasma cutting, lancing and crack repair.Quality assurance and control.Ensures effective equipment maintenance, safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.Build and maintain a healthy and safe work environment.Overhead crane operation.Must be able to work in awkward positions.
