Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Clinic Assistant (IMG opportunity) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) to gain valuable clinical experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will support the physicians with patient treatment plans and post-procedure care, all while expanding their medical knowledge and skills.

Duties

  • This position is administrative based. The hired candidate will be working at a desk and communicating with patients over the phone.
  • Assist physicians with patient treatment plans and post-procedure care for patients
  • Assist with phone calls and note taking for patient charts
  • Schedule appointments for patient procedures
  • Prepare requestions and send to appropriate facilities
  • Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, guiding patients through appointment processes, and ensuring comfort throughout their treatment plan
  • Support team and physicians to ensure day to day operations are met

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Medical graduate (IMG)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and strong telephone ettiquite
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well independently and efficiently
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks
  • Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
  • Ability to perform vital signs collection, intake procedures, and basic medication administration accurately
  • Experience working in hospital or outpatient clinics, including PICU or OR settings preferred

  • Must be available full-time (weekends as needed)
  • Must be able to work at our Brampton location
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Starting salary: $ per month ($20.00 per hour) (before taxes)
