We are seeking a Part-Time Clinical Assistant to join our busy clinic in Waterloo.

Availability for:

Wednesdays 4-8pm

Thursdays 9-4:30pm

Other Shifts As Needed (Covering Vacation, Sick Days, Clinic Need, Etc)

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning and set up of the treatment rooms, sterilization of instruments, and maintaining podiatric equipment
  • Facilitating clinic work flow by bringing patients to rooms and communicating with practitioners and other staff members
  • Assisting with therapeutic modalities (i.e, shockwave, ultrasound, laser)
  • Assisting with the proper set up of rooms for routine and surgical procedures
  • Answering the phones and emails, confirming next-day appointments
  • Maintaining and updating patient records, scanning documents into patient files
  • Ordering supplies and receiving incoming shipments
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining practitioner schedules
  • Greeting and signing in patients when they enter the clinic
  • Managing billing for patients and their insurance companies
  • Other duties as required

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to perform a wide variety of duties
  • Proficient in computer and technology use including Microsoft Office, emails, scanners, printers, etc.

Experience and/or education in medical office assistant roles are an asset. We offer a welcoming work environment and opportunities for growth and development. Please note this position requires long periods of being on your feet as well as some light lifting.
