About Us 

Effortless Admin is a growing employee benefits administration company based in Edmonton. We provide comprehensive third-party administration services, managing benefit plans and insurance premiums for clients across multiple carriers.

The Role 

Our company is growing rapidly. We're seeking a detail-oriented junior accountant to join our team during an exciting growth phase. This role offers professional development potential—we're looking for someone who can grow into a senior accountant position within five years as our company expands. You'll work closely with two bookkeepers in a collaborative finance team, ensuring consistency across accounting functions.

What You'll Do 

  • Prepare financial reports and perform month-end closing processes
  • Reconcile inter-system data and billing information across multiple insurance carriers
  • Handle trust accounting and fixed asset management
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries
  • Assist with year-end financial statements, GST returns, and T4 preparation and filing

Qualifications 

  • Minimum two years of post-secondary accounting education
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • In-office at College Plaza, Edmonton
  • Monday to Friday, standard business hours
