The Robbie Dean Family Counselling Centre is a community funded, registered Charity, established in 2013. The Centre is located in Pembroke and provides free services to an average of 1500 individuals annually throughout Ontario. We are dedicated to closing gaps in the mental health system by developing and implementing proactive programs that deliver unique and preventative mental health support services.

Summary.

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team at the Robbie Dean Family Counselling Centre in Pembroke, Ontario. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly, enabling us to provide essential mental health services to the community. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality support to those in need.

Responsibilities.

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across the organization.
  • Manage and troubleshoot computer networking issues to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Assist with desktop support for staff members, ensuring their systems are operational.
  • Utilize help desk software to track and resolve IT-related requests efficiently.
  • Implement VPN solutions for secure remote access as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain and update IT documentation.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies and software applications.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols regarding firewalls and data protection.
  • Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365, Google and standard business applications.
  • Familiarity with networking (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be bilingual (French and English)
