Operations Manager

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining the efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process while adhering to safety and compliance regulations, for Mativ's Renfrew, Ontario Site.

Duties and responsibilities include: Overseeing the manufacturing process and ensuring efficiency and quality Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures Managing production budgets and implementing cost controls Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations Planning and organizing production schedules, estimating, negotiating, and agreeing on production timescales with clients and managers Assessing project and resource requirements, ensuring that the production process is in compliance with the industry standards Supervising and evaluating the performance of production personnel Identifying training needs and organizing training interventions to meet quality standards Coordinating with other managers to implement the company's policies and goals Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes Ensuring that all steps of the manufacturing process adhere to company guidelines and industry regulations.

Responsibilities Oversee and manage all manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth workflow and meeting deadlines and budget goals. Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure alignment with overall company strategy. Set and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the manufacturing operations to ensure high-quality output. Manage resources effectively to increase productivity and meet production targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality control, and logistics, to optimize performance and output. Monitor and reduce expenses while ensuring adequate inventory. Implement safety guidelines and ensure compliance to meet legal and corporate safety standards. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for process enhancements. Report on operational performance and suggest improvements.

Qualifications Proven work experience as a Manufacturing Operations Manager or similar role. Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices, lean manufacturing, and workflow optimization. Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality management systems. Outstanding communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage and enhance operational processes. Strong project management skills. BSc degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field or equivalent experience.
