We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our team and support the day-to-day financial operations of our company, with a focus on customer invoicing, payment processing, and maintaining accurate accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and send customer invoices.
  • Record and apply customer payments accurately in the accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics GP).
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and provide account statements as needed.
  • Communicate with customers regarding billing questions or payment discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized customer account records.

2. Bank and Account Support

  • Record daily deposits and receipts as needed.
  • Assist with reconciliation of accounts related to receivables.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts promptly.

3. Month-End Support

  • Assist with journal entries and general ledger reconciliations related to AR.
  • Generate reports and summaries for management.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks as required.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliations

4. General Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized AR files (digital and hard copy).
  • Assist with with ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned.
  • Provide backup support to other office and accounting staff when required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, analytical thinking, and numerical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • College diploma in Bookkeeping or related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in office administrative roles, bookkeeping, or finance roles is an asset.
  • Background or experience in agriculture is considered an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time position, 40 hours/week.
  • Pay is hourly based on experience and ability of the applicant
  • Starting wage @ approx. $22-$24 an hour
  • 2 weeks' holidays plus access to health savings account after 3-month probationary period.
