QA/QC Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced
QA/QC Manager
to join our client's team on a major
data center
project in
Toronto, Canada
. This role will support the Owner's Representative in delivering full QA/QC oversight and commissioning management for a large-scale, high-specification data center. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all construction and commissioning activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong electrical background and proven experience in managing quality programs for mission-critical facilities. This is a 12-month contract with a view to extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all QA/QC and commissioning activities on behalf of the Owner's Representative.
• Oversee construction quality control processes, ensuring alignment with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Develop and implement project-specific Quality Management Plans and inspection procedures.
• Conduct quality audits, inspections, and testing to verify compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Manage documentation and reporting related to non-conformance, testing, and commissioning.
• Provide technical guidance and support on quality matters to the project team and client representatives.
• Ensure commissioning is carried out in accordance with project standards and handover requirements.
• Maintain strong communication with stakeholders to support timely and efficient project delivery.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a QA/QC Management role, ideally within data center or mission-critical construction environments.
• Proven track record of managing QA/QC processes from the General Contractor or Owner's Representative side.
• Engineering or Quality-based qualifications (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering).
• Strong electrical systems knowledge is highly preferred.
• Experience with commissioning and systems verification on large-scale projects.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders.
• Right to work in Canada is essential; candidates already based in Toronto are preferred.
