Duties

  • Guide customers through the financing process, explaining loan options, terms, and contractual details clearly and confidently
  • Analyze credit reports and financial information to determine loan eligibility and optimal financing solutions
  • Upsell additional products such as extended warranties, insurance packages, and service plans to enhance customer value
  • Negotiate terms with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements while adhering to company policies and legal regulations like TILA (Truth in Lending Act)
  • Process loan applications efficiently using financial software, ensuring accuracy in documentation such as contracts and title processing
  • Collaborate with lenders and financial institutions to secure favorable financing terms for customers
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships by providing transparent communication, timely updates, and exceptional service throughout the sales process

Skills

  • Proven experience in automotive sales, dealership operations, or financial services with a focus on loan officer responsibilities
  • Strong customer relationship management skills to foster trust and loyalty with clients
  • Expertise in credit analysis, loan processing, and contract negotiation to ensure compliant and advantageous deals
  • Familiarity with financial software systems and proficiency in 10 key typing for accurate data entry
  • Knowledge of regulations, title processing procedures, and basic math skills necessary for calculating payments and interest rates
  • Excellent negotiation abilities combined with persuasive sales techniques to upsell products effectively
  • Exceptional customer service skills to address client needs promptly and professionally
