Position Summary:

The Lube Technician is responsible for performing basic vehicle maintenance services to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle performance. This includes oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and other light mechanical tasks. The technician will inspect vehicles for additional service needs, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and uphold company standards for customer care and efficiency. Success in this role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform oil and filter changes on a variety of makes and models.
  • Inspect and top off all fluid levels including transmission, power steering, windshield washer, coolant, and brake fluids.
  • Perform tire rotations and inspect tires for wear and proper inflation.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and document findings clearly.
  • Replace air filters, cabin filters, and wiper blades as needed.
  • Keep work area clean and organized; properly dispose of waste materials.
  • Follow OEM procedures and dealership guidelines to ensure quality and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and Technicians regarding findings and recommendations.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Attend required training and stay current with OEM service bulletins and standards.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an automotive service role is preferred but not required – we're willing to train the right candidate
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and the willingness to learn
