The Ministry of Social Services is seeking a Manager, Legal Services, to provide expert legal guidance for the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC). This role ensures housing programs, policies, and real estate transactions comply with legislative and regulatory requirements.

This role provides legal advice and applies a legal lens to housing programs, policies, and processes to ensure sound program design and compliance. Responsibilities include advising senior management on legal matters, managing SHC's real estate transactions and related documentation, developing and approving contracts and agreements, handling mortgage and loan registrations, and overseeing foreclosure and eviction processes. The Manager leads the Legal Services team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.

The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting and analyzing legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures, along with expertise in housing regulation, contract law, real estate law, and property management. You will demonstrate strong negotiation and advisory skills, the ability to research and resolve complex issues, work independently under changing priorities, and lead a team to meet timelines and improve processes collaboratively.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position will typically be developed through the successful completion of a degree in law. Experience working with Real Estate Law is preferred.
