Overview

Seeking a OTA to work with a child on daily basis Approximately 1 hour everyday.

Responsibilities

  • Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatric and adult populations.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, noting responses to therapy interventions.
  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities to promote independence.
  • Support the development of adaptive techniques and assistive devices tailored to patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans effectively.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice.
  • Experience working in acute care settings is preferred, with the ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced environments.
  • Pediatric experience is advantageous, demonstrating comfort working with children of diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Compassionate approach with a focus on patient-centered care and rehabilitation goals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in dynamic healthcare environments.
