As a Senior Procurement Specialist your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain relationships with different teams and business units within the firm to drive adoption of policies and procedures
• Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to draft and organize RFx documentation (requirement documents, questionnaires, Q&A responses, etc.).
• Negotiate and finalize contracts across various categories, working with legal representatives to ensure flexible and protective agreements
• Provide guidance and training to departmental teams within the firm, sharing information as policies and procedures are updated
• Develop productive and proactive relationships with vendors
• Maintain contracts database, keeping information up to date and accurate
• Have a continuous improvement mindset, not afraid to identify and take action where opportunities exist
• Other duties as assigned

Think you've got what it takes to be a Senior Procurement Specialist? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field of study
• 2-3 years of procurement/contract management or vendor relationship experience
• Working knowledge of contract structure and development, general knowledge of pertinent clauses and verbiage to be included depending on the category
• Knowledge of RFx procedures
• Proficient math skills
• Intermediate excel skills
• Working knowledge of MS office suite
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills
• High level of integrity and accountability
• Able to identify mistakes/errors, take ownership and participate in a correction plan
• Ability to work within tight timelines with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Takes a collaborative approach, working along side stakeholders and business owners
• An entrepreneurial attitude, someone who takes ownership of their work and expects a high level of quality from themselves
