Mecademic builds compact, precise, and innovative robotic automation solutions for the electronics and life sciences industries. Our ultra-compact robotic arms are used worldwide by OEMs, system integrators, and end-users for tasks requiring precision and reliability in automation.

The Opportunity:

As we expand globally, we are looking for a Field Application Engineer in the Midwest/Northeast US to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is for someone passionate about robotics, programming, and working at the intersection of technology, engineering, and customer success.

We are seeking a technical specialist instrumental in ensuring our customers successfully deploy, integrate, and maximize the utility of our robotic solutions. You'll serve as the critical technical bridge, translating advanced expertise into proactive customer success and owning all technical aspects of the sales cycle while directly enabling the Area Sales Manager's growth targets in the assigned region.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with engineers, developers, and integrators who are testing, coding, and implementing the robots.

  • Create and document PoC projects that help customers evaluate Mecademic robots in their applications.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance regarding our robot technology to help customers optimize their projects.
  • Conduct training sessions to empower customers to use the robots effectively.
  • Develop resources (e.g., FAQs, guides) to assist customers during the integration process.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage customer relationships.

Global Representation:

  • Travel within the US to represent Mecademic at trade fairs, partner events, and customer sites.
  • Act as a technical ambassador—engaging with engineers, integrators, and clients to promote and support Mecademic's robotic solutions

Your Profile:

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Méchanical, Computer, Mechatronics Engineering, and have proven experience (3 to 5 years) in the robotics or automation field.

Your Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of industrial automation concepts, including robot kinematics, controllers, sensors, and safety systems.
  • Proficient in CAD software for mechanical and electrical design (e.g., SolidWorks).
  • Experience with robot simulators and PLCs is highly desirable.
  • Strong programming ability, ideally in Python, with hands-on experience using APIs and version control systems (e.g., Git) is highly desirable.

Your Qualities:

  • Excellent communicator—capable of translating complex technical information into accessible content.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative spirit for cross-functional work.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience organizing logistics for technical events or equipment deployments is a plus.

Job Conditions

Full-time remote position to start as soon as possible. Willingness and ability to travel within the US for tradeshows and partner visits.

Compensation based on profile and experience.

Requires living in the US (Midwest or Northeats) or in Southern Ontario (Canada) and having a valid work permit to work there.
