We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Assistant to join our growing, award-winning team. This is a hands-on role where you'll support our veterinarians and technicians in providing outstanding medical and emotional care to patients while maintaining a clean, safe, and positive environment.

What You'll Do

· Provide gentle, compassionate care to animals before, during, and after procedures

· Assist veterinarians and RVTs with handling, restraint, treatments, and procedures

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, kennels, and treatment areas

· Feed, walk, bathe, and monitor hospitalized or boarding patients

· Assist with preparing equipment, supplies, and instruments for procedures

· Safely handle animals of varying sizes and temperaments

· Support our team in delivering individualized, collaborative, and compassionate care to every patient

Requirements

· Experience working with animals in a veterinary, shelter, or animal care environment (preferred).

· Canadian citizen or legally eligible to work in Canada.

· Must not have a criminal record for which a pardon has not been issued and must be able to pass a criminal records check.

· Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and handling emotional situations with professionalism and empathy.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Comfortable operating computers and clinic software for scheduling and recordkeeping.

· Willingness to learn and grow in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment.
