As Vice President, National Sales, you will lead a high-performing national sales organization whose mission is to help customers achieve their strategic priorities, build stronger businesses, and deliver exceptional value to our customers and the communities we serve.
This role plays a pivotal role in driving our sales strategy through dynamic leadership and strategic direction of our regional sales team across the country. In this role you will develop strategies that will drive market share growth, leverage analytics and market intelligence to help develop and implement innovative ideas and collaborative approaches to ensure an exceptional customer experience. You will need to be a change agent that thinks strategically with exceptional communication and sales leadership skills and a passion for driving results.
Here is where you will be focusing to ensure your success
Inspiring Leadership:
Develop and coach Regional Sales VPs into dynamic leaders who empower their Account Managers to perform at their best. By fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation, you will create an environment where sales teams thrive, and customers feel supported.
Customer-Centric Strategy:
Shape and execute forward-looking sales strategies that not only drive revenue growth but also anticipate and respond to evolving customer needs. By leveraging market insights, industry trends, and customer feedback, you'll identify opportunities that help our partners achieve their long-term goals.
High-Impact Sales Execution:
Ensure our sales teams are equipped with the tools, processes, and know-how to serve customers with confidence and clarity. Through world-class territory planning, pipeline management, and resource optimization, you will deliver a sales force that is proactive, agile, and relentlessly focused on customer success.
Empowering Through Sales Enablement
: Collaborate with Sales Enablement to design training, tools, and resources that elevate sales capabilities and strengthen customer impact. Ensure every member of the team is equipped to be a trusted advisor to our clients.
Insight-Driven Growth:
Leverage data, analytics, and CRM capabilities to surface opportunities, generate actionable insights, and enable proactive conversations with customers that move their businesses forward.
Forecasting and Planning for Success:
Partner with Finance, Risk, and Operations to build accurate forecasts and resource plans that enable us to support customers not only today, but into the future.
Performance Excellence:
Establish meaningful performance metrics that go beyond sales results, measuring customer engagement, satisfaction, and long-term partnership growth. Drive continuous improvement by identifying capability gaps and ensuring our teams deliver the highest value in every interaction.

: Champion a sales methodology rooted in understanding customer challenges and delivering tailored solutions that advance their business objectives. With this approach, every engagement becomes an opportunity to strengthen trust and fuel mutual success.
Key Relationships and Partnerships:
Take an active role in building enduring, strategic partnerships with senior leaders across our lender base. By being deeply connected to their goals, you will ensure our national and regional strategies are aligned to consistently enhance customer outcomes and partnerships.
Collaboration Across the Enterprise:
Work hand-in-hand with Finance, Marketing, Risk, and Operations leaders to deliver integrated solutions that balance growth, customer experience, and risk management. Your leadership will ensure that the customer's voice and objectives remain at the center of our decision-making.
Communicate with Purpose:
Deliver clear, consistent, and inspiring communication across the sales organization to ensure alignment, focus, and motivation. Act as a trusted voice within Sagen's Senior Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise-wide decision-making and collaborating with senior executives to align and execute our sales strategy. Serve as the bridge between leadership and the field, ensuring the strategy set at the top is understood, embraced, and executed with impact across the country.
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years' experience in sales leadership, business development and relationship management in the mortgage lending or financial services industry.
- University degree.
- Demonstrated experience in, strategic sales management and coaching, with a proven track record of top line results.
- Extensive experience leading a large team of management and professional level staff.
- Superior relationship management skills with the ability to effectively influence customers, internal stakeholders, and leadership in the mortgage industry.
- Deep understanding of mortgage default insurance, mortgage lending practices, and risk management principles to develop and implement successful strategies in delivering top line results.
- Proven success in managing multiple priorities and deadlines, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication skills, collaboration and interpersonal skills. with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data and translate into strategic business opportunities.
- Resiliency with persuasive communication skills to challenge the norm and find new ways to drive results.
- Ensures accountability for their own work, the work of their team and drives for results.
