Treasurer (Incoming) – Volunteer Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Board of Directors as Treasurer (Incoming). This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside our current Treasurer, gaining hands-on experience with our financial systems and processes. 

Term & Transition:

  • Early 2026: Serve as Treasurer (Incoming), supporting and collaborating with the current Treasurer.
  • 2026 onward: Opportunity to assume the full Treasurer role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with reviewing monthly financial reports, budgets, and statements
  • Support oversight of financial policies, compliance, and reporting
  • Help prepare annual budgets in collaboration with the Treasurer and Executive Director
  • Monitor cash flow, funding allocations, and financial risk management
  • Participate in annual audits and ensure timely submission of required filings
  • Track grants and donor contributions to ensure proper allocation and reporting
  • Provide clear financial updates at board meetings to support decision-making
  • Contribute to strategic planning and long-term financial sustainability

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong organizational and financial management skills
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or nonprofit finance is an asset
  • Commitment to the mission and values of our organization

Time Commitment

: Approximately 5–8 hours/month, including board meetings
