Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing various types of heavy machinery, including industrial machinery. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and other industrial machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment to conduct repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and customer satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding equipment status and repair needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in heavy equipment technology.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintaining heavy equipment or industrial equipment.
- Strong background in automotive repair is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Proficient in using power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
