Nightmare Bar is an immersive, themed nightlife experience that blends hospitality, performance, and unforgettable atmosphere. We're looking for a dynamic and highly organized Event Manager/Host to lead our local team, create seamless guest experiences, and ensure every event night runs with precision and energy.

Role Overview

The Event Manager/Host is responsible for overseeing nightly operations during events, ensuring guests feel welcomed and engaged, while also managing the behind-the-scenes team. This role combines hospitality, leadership, and operational execution. You'll be the face of the event, the point of contact for the team, and the driver of smooth, memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities Guest Experience

  • Greet and host guests with energy and professionalism.
  • Check tickets, manage entry flow, and troubleshoot guest concerns on-site.
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and themed environment consistent with the Nightmare Bar brand.

Team Management

  • Build and manage event team schedules, ensuring adequate coverage across roles.
  • Lead pre-event briefings to align the team on expectations and responsibilities.
  • Train local team members on ticketing, guest service, safety protocols, and performance standards.
  • Monitor staff performance during events, providing real-time support and feedback.

Event Operations

  • Oversee nightly event flow, ensuring operations run on time and according to plan.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for staff, performers, and vendors during events.
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively, from ticketing errors to guest concerns.
  • Enforce health, safety, and compliance standards.

Administrative & Strategic Support

  • Collaborate with leadership to refine team procedures and training manuals.
  • Provide post-event reports with feedback, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support marketing or promotional efforts as needed to enhance guest engagement.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in event management, hospitality, nightlife, or entertainment.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 1 month

Pay: $17.75-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
