Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is a 315-bed academic and teaching hospital that provides specialized mental health, addiction and geriatric care. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, we serve some of the most complex and disadvantaged individuals in Ontario and are the sole provider of high-secure forensic mental health services in the province.

The Manager of the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program is currently seeking a temporary full-time OSPP Therapist/Access Coordinator. The purpose of the position is to plan, conduct and deliver structured psychotherapy services under the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) Program including individual and group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for adults with depression, anxiety and trauma related concerns.

Please Note: This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. Office location is 952 Jones Road, Midland, ON.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Perform triage and clinical assessment for clients seeking OSP services across the stepped care pathway and system navigation with other available services.
  • Conduct assessments (i.e. Diagnostic Research Assessment Tool, PHQ-9, GAD-7 and other diagnostic specific assessments) to inform symptoms experienced by client and individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group evidence-based structured psychotherapy, including CBT and CPT, in adherence with the OSP Clinical Model and Training Program.
  • Provide triage and clinical assessment and treatment remotely and in person based on client and program needs.
  • Participate in clinical consultation and related activities in adherence with fidelity monitoring requirements.
  • Participate in the OSP Training Program and ongoing education as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports in adherence to Regulatory College and program specific requirements, including collecting relevant data to evaluate client and service outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members across OSP network of organizations in the provision of care.
  • Contribute to ongoing program development and program evaluation and implement new practices as required.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health-related discipline is required; however, preference is for a Master's degree in a health-related field.
  • Registered member in good standing with applicable professional college (e.g. College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario) required.
  • Competence to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy per the College of Registered
  • Psychotherapists of Ontario.
  • A minimum of 1 year of previous experience in the delivery of triage and clinical
  • assessment of mental health is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of previous experience in the delivery of CBT triage and clinical
  • assessment
  • A minimum of 1 year of previous experience and treatment delivery of evidence-
  • based CBT and CPT following the OSP Model
  • Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
  • Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to adapt readily to change and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
  • Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values (Caring, Respect, Accountability, Innovation)
  • Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills.
