Job Summary

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic APPRENTICE to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of various heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic Apprentice will work in a dynamic environment where safety and efficiency are paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and forklifts.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to ensure proper functionality.
  • Assemble and disassemble machinery components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely while performing tasks such as digging and lifting materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform automotive repair tasks.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems related to industrial equipment.
  • Capable of interpreting schematics for troubleshooting and repair purposes.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
