Job description

Golden Arrow Industrial Ltd requires a full-time Apprentice Heavy-Duty Mechanic for the Fort McMurray Location. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work in a fast-paced environment maintaining a fleet of School/White Bus and Motor coaches. Golden Arrow offers an above average work environment with an emphasis on safety and training. To qualify for the Mechanic position, you must be a reliable self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.

As a mechanic, your duties are as follows:

  • Maintenance/repair of motor coaches and school buses.
  • Keep service trucks, support equipment, and tools in clean and safe operating condition.
  • Ensure the upkeep and appearance of service truck, parking lot area and parts trailer is maintained.
  • CVIP Inspections
  • Respond to breakdowns
  • Spring and winter maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager

Position Requirements:

  • Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician Ticket- Second/Third Year Preferred
  • Valid (or willing to obtain) class 1, 2 or 3 driver's license with airbrake endorsement
  • Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • Shift work required

Job Type: Permanent

Shifts: 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
