Job description
Golden Arrow Industrial Ltd requires a full-time Apprentice Heavy-Duty Mechanic for the Fort McMurray Location. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work in a fast-paced environment maintaining a fleet of School/White Bus and Motor coaches. Golden Arrow offers an above average work environment with an emphasis on safety and training. To qualify for the Mechanic position, you must be a reliable self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
As a mechanic, your duties are as follows:
- Maintenance/repair of motor coaches and school buses.
- Keep service trucks, support equipment, and tools in clean and safe operating condition.
- Ensure the upkeep and appearance of service truck, parking lot area and parts trailer is maintained.
- CVIP Inspections
- Respond to breakdowns
- Spring and winter maintenance
- Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager
Position Requirements:
- Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician Ticket- Second/Third Year Preferred
- Valid (or willing to obtain) class 1, 2 or 3 driver's license with airbrake endorsement
- Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Shift work required
Job Type: Permanent
Shifts: 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
