Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital setting, particularly in acute care, and will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating kids with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to develop effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing function.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech therapy techniques and home exercises.
  • Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech therapy.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist.
  • Previous hospital experience is preferred, particularly in acute care settings.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech therapy and patient care.
  • Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $80.00-$100.00 per hour
