We're hiring a senior-level Technical iPaaS Contractor to support backend integration initiatives across ecommerce, ERP, and enterprise SaaS systems. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining high-quality integrations using modern iPaaS platforms including Celigo, Workato, and Dell Boomi. The contractor will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and client teams to ensure seamless data flow across critical systems such as Shopify, NetSuite, Salesforce Order Management, and various 3PL, WMS, CRM, and ERP platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and participate in client discovery and technical requirements sessions focused on integration needs.
  • Architect, design, and implement iPaaS-based integrations connecting Shopify and other ecommerce systems to third-party applications.
  • Build and maintain integrations across ERP, CRM, OMS, WMS, 3PL, payment, marketing, and loyalty platforms.
  • Provide hands-on development using Celigo, Workato, Dell Boomi, and related cloud integration tools.
  • Deliver API-driven and event-driven solutions for high-scale ecommerce and supply chain operations.
  • Offer technical training, documentation, and guidance for internal backend teams on iPaaS best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and refactor existing integrations for performance, resiliency, and observability.
  • Support planning and execution of integration cutovers, data migrations, and system transformations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architectural decisions, integration governance, and platform standardization.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Extensive hands-on expertise with at least two modern iPaaS platforms (Celigo, Workato, Dell Boomi).
  • Strong experience integrating major enterprise SaaS and ERP systems:
    • NetSuite, SAP, Salesforce (Sales/Service/Order Management),
    • Shopify/Shopify Plus,
    • Financial/operational systems including ADP, Oracle EBS, Microsoft Dynamics, JDE, etc.
  • Proven ability to design scalable integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, message queues, and ingestion pipelines.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience writing optimized queries, stored procedures, and ETL-driven data transformations.
  • Experience with supply-chain-related integrations (OMS, WMS, 3PL, ERP, loyalty, SFMC).
  • Hands-on experience implementing integrations for retail and ecommerce brands.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience with additional iPaaS solutions: Mulesoft, SnapLogic, Informatica Cloud, Workato, Celigo, Logic Apps, Google Application Integration.
  • Background in EDI (X12, EDIFACT, HL7), including trading partner setup and platform migrations.
  • Familiarity with API Management, MDM, or workflow automation tools (Boomi Flow, low-code builders).
  • Experience building or contributing to Integration Practice/Center of Excellence programs.
SOFT SKILLS
  • Excellent client-facing communication, able to run discovery sessions and translate requirements into technical designs.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a contractor capacity.
  • Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing habits.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving ecommerce and startup-like environments.
